This beautiful pot was hand-made and hand-painted by well-known Hopi pottery artist, Val Kahe. It is beautifully polished and painted. The design around the top is the Eagle Tail design. The Eagle represents prayers of all and delivers those prayers.
Valerie, daughter of Gloria Kahe, comes from a long line of well-respected and highly sought-after artists. She learned to make pottery from her mother and she continues the Hopi tradition of native clay pottery, clay slips, bee-weed (black) and native firing her pottery.
