Three-strand fetish necklace by Zuni Pueblo artist David Tsikewa. This beautiful necklace consists of 73 birds and 12 animals for a total of 85 fetishes. Master jeweler, David Tsikewa lived and worked at Zuni Pueblo from about 1940 until his passing in 1970. He is known for his mosaic inlay jewelry, his fetish necklaces and his free standing fetishes. His wife Mary, was the daughter of another master artist, Teddy Wehkee.
