This tufa cast and stamped sterling silver bracelet was handmade by Navajo artists, Carol and Wilson Begay. It has a gorgeous piece of natural turquoise in the center and is signed on the back with their hogan and WB sign.
We have been buying from Wilson and Carol since about 1970. They began making jewelry in 1969 learning the craft from family members. They work in sandcast (tufa cast) style which involves carving out the design in a piece of tufa stone, pouring molten silver into the mold and hand finishing each piece. Top quality natural stones are always used in their jewelry.
