Kariyushi C. – “This store is run by one of the first families in the area to sell Native American rugs, jewelry and kachinas. The family members run the shop, so you will only deal with folks who are extremely knowledgeable of this type of artwork. The artists whose work is sold in this shop have been featured in Sedona Magazine and other trade publications as some of the best in the country, and everything is authentic.

…Now that I live in the Midwest, I often will email the owner when a friend or family member’s birthday is coming up to see if there is anything that might be a good fit. The owner will send me photos of pieces that fit the general description I provide and we work together to find a piece that the birthday person will really love. This has always resulted in a very happy recipient.”

Elisa B. – “When going on vacation, I say this shop is a Must See! Any kind of occasion, I know you will find just what you need. Artisan’s that you won’t believe with works that are amazing! The Watters family owns this gem and they are the most lovely and wonderful people. No detail is spared. They are fine art collectors and have a discerning eye for the spectacular. Carol is a beautiful woman that knows beauty. A keep sake, wedding gift? Birthday gift? Pamper me? You can find it all and a whole lot of wonderful family attention. This place is amazing!”

John F. – “My wife and I have been visiting Hoel’s for many years.  It’s one of our favorite spots in the area.  Their location on Oak Creek is beautiful and out of the mainstream shopping areas of Sedona.  Carol Watters has assembled a wonderful selection of jewelry, rugs, pottery, baskets, kachina’s, and other special things for casual use and serious collectors. Their inventory changes regularly so there is always something new and interesting to see.  There are many places to buy Indian pieces but with Hoel’s you know your purchase is authentic and backed up by a long standing professional establishment.”

NyPeaches – “We drove by this store and decided to stop in. So glad we did! All handmade Arizona jewelry, artwork, and variety of crafts. Highly recommend- thank you for the two beautiful Richard Gorman artwork!”

Eisa B – “Looking for something artistic? Cultural? Beautiful? Inspiring? This place will be your one stop shop. Oh, and did I mention Shopping? Looking for that beautiful wedding gift, birthday gift, or anything gift to yourself? I love this place. The items are well made, handcrafted, one of a kind and amazing. The people that own/run this gallery business/store are one of a kind, just like their jewelry. They hand pick every artistic item. It is in the most beautiful place and beyond wonderful! Love it. Love it!!!”

PablitoSedona_AZ – “This is a small shop up Oak Creek Canyon, not far from the switchbacks. Hoel’s has been in business a long time and they focus on quality native American crafts and art. Recommended for collectors.”

50MER – “…They have a wonderful selection of Native American items. Their jewelry is outstanding and I’d highly recommend stopping by. They have both gold and silver jewelry items, with and without stones. You are sure to find something you’ll love! Awesome drive to get there also….the Oak Creek Canyon area is beautiful!”

Herbert H – “Over the years my wife and I have had the pleasure of purchasing various items from Carol at Hoel’s Indian Shop north of Sedona on Hwy 89A. We have been travelling the southwest during the winters for the past 10 years and have a nice collection of weavings, jewelry and pueblo pottery. Hoel’s has a wide variety of high quality SW merchandise for sale and they are in our “top 5″ of places to shop in all of Arizona and New Mexico. Not to be missed! (Minnesota snowbirds). PS-More high quality merchandise per square foot than ANY shop we have ever visited.”

Eisa B – “The location up Oak Creek Canyon is amazing. Each piece of jewelry is a treasure. You will go back again and again. The couple that runs/owns the shop are so special. No detail is missed. Excellent place for something special and memorable!!!!!”
