Howard Nelson is an accomplished, self-taught Navajo silversmith. He was born in 1951 in Winslow, Arizona. Howard began working with his older brother, David, and eventually mastered the technique of traditional Navajo jewelry styles. He is featured in Enduring Traditions by Jerry and Lois Jacka and Navajo Indian Jewelry by Jerry and Lois Jacka.
