Product Description
Hand-woven traditional Dress by Hopi Artist, Valjean Lalo. This is the type of dress that would have been everyday attire for Hopi women but is now mostly worn for ceremonial purposes. It measures 25″ wide by 44″ long. Woven with both black and blue cotton yarn, the top and bottom have a diamond twill pattern, which is a very difficult weaving pattern to create. It is made to be worn on one shoulder with the other side going underneath the arm. It would be worn with a hand-woven sash at the waist and is finished with brightly colored wool yarn.
