Bird pin inlaid with turquoise, shell and dark red coral, attributed to Zuni artist, Porfilio Sheyka (1938-1982). Circa 1960’s, from the private collection of Don and Nita Hoel. Unsigned, but likely this pin was collected by Nita Hoel before Porfilio began signing his work. His earliest hallmark was a bird beak. He then began using a P to sign his work.
