Handmade Sterling Silver Reversible Pendant by Dennis Edaakie

Product Description

Handmade Sterling Silver Reversible Pendant by Dennis Edaakie.  One of the coolest pieces we have seen by Dennis and Nancy Edaakie features a red robin on one side and a blue jay on the reverse side.  The robin is inlaid with dark red coral and is sitting on a branch inlaid with black jet, the leaves are abalone shell and the triangle inlay around the edge is jet as well. The blue jay is inlaid with natural turquoise and mother of pearl shell and is accented with the same materials as the reverse side.  The pendant hangs on a handmade 24″ chain.  Circa 1965.

Dennis Edaakie was one of the most respected and celebrated artists at Zuni.  Dennis was born on January 24th, 1931 in Zuni, New Mexico of the Parrot Clan. He is considered among the “Old Masters” of the Fine Art of Mosaic Inlay.  His exquisite workmanship not only refers to his precious stone inlay, but also to his gold and silver work. Sadly, Dennis passed away in 2008.
