Wonderful, wearable necklace by Taos/San Juan Pueblo artist, Mike Bird Romero. 24″ hand-fabricated silver beads are finished with a silver swirl pendant with an inlaid arrow running through it. It is accented with a Turquoise bead and signed on the inside with Mike’s sign, a small bird.
Mike Bird is from the Pueblos of San Juan and Taos. Mike was self taught and influenced by Pueblo and historic Navajo jewelry. Although influenced by traditional jewelry, his work is his own distinctive style. Completely hand fabricated, he often uses interesting materials materials such as carved animal figures. Mike signs with two small birds.
