Traditional sterling silver squash blossom necklace features by Navajo Artist, Leonard Benally. It is signed by the artist, a conjoined LB. Leonard is the son-in-law of John Burnside, brother of Tom Burnside from Pine Springs, AZ. Each bead is stamped, including the blossoms with the Burnside family’s identifying stamp. Leonard learned the traditional silversmithing of hammering ingot silver from John and Tom, both acclaimed master silversmiths. This information was verified by Navajo artist, Ernie Lister, who is related to the family and where he learned traditional silversmithing as well.
