Product Description

Impressive Albert Nells Bolo Tie with Silver Wirework is Inlaid with Coral, Jet, Shell and Turquoise. To accompany the larger bolo, the leather is 50″ long.  Albert is a wonderful Navajo silversmith.

Albert Nells was born in 1953 in Winslow, AZ and raised near Cedar Springs in Arizona. Albert graduated from high school in Many Farms, AZ in 1972 and began to learn the art of making silver jewelry soon after. Albert is a self-taught artist. He had worked with leather tooling while in high school so found that learning to work with silver was very similar. At that time, he was making traditional Navajo jewelry and then in 1980, he began developing the style of jewelry that he makes today.  Albert is a meticulous craftsman. He calls the style of silverwork he creates in his jewelry, “wirework”. He then cuts, sets and polishes the stones in his own silver designs. Albert makes every piece of his jewelry in its entirety.
