This beautiful tile was hand-made and hand-painted by well-known Hopi pottery artist, Val Kahe. The Eagle represents prayers of all and delivers those prayers. At 5-1/4″ by 7-1/2″, these are the largest tiles Val has made.
Valerie, daughter of Gloria Kahe, comes from a long line of well-respected and highly sought-after artists. She learned to make pottery from her mother and she continues the Hopi tradition of native clay pottery, clay slips, bee-weed (black) and native firing her pottery.
