This Prairie Falcon or Kisa Kachina was hand carved by Hopi artist, David Jensen out of one piece of cottonwood root including the base, sash, ruff and feathers on the top of its head. The side feathers and yucca sticks have been added. This Hopi Kachina is beautifully carved and painted with excellent motion.
Prairie Falcon is a runner Kachina and appears in mixed dances.
