Product Description

One piece hand-carved and painted Qoqole Kachina by Michael Dean Jenkins. This charming carving of Qoqole show him in a shirt, tie and coat.  He is holding a rattle and a bag of marbles.  Qoqole, who is a marble player or gambler, can be seen during the Soyal ceremony accompanied by his maiden spirit and is usually seen in groups of Qoqole. He opens the Kivas, so other kachinas can visit the village. The Qoqole are often seen shooting marbles. One thing that separates the Qoqole from other kachinas dolls is that he wears old Anglo clothing.  Michael Dean Jenkins Qoqole Hopi Kachina
