One piece hand-carved and painted Comanche (Komantci or Turtumsi) Kachina by Hopi artist, Eloy Talahytewa. Every detail of this piece was hand carved from of Cottonwood root and hand painted with great detail. This beautiful Kachina took Eloy two months to carve and paint.
The Komantci Kachina doll represents a depiction of the Comanche tribe and the strength that comes from that tribe. This Comanche is adorned in a full headdress, representing great stature, respect and power.
