Handmade Hopi tile with Sityatki revival design by artist Hopi Artist, Rachel Sahmie Nampeyo. Rachel Sahmie was born in 1956 into the highly talented Nampeyo family. Her mother is Priscilla Namingha Nampeyo and her siblings and cousins include some of the best-known names in pueblo pottery. Rachel has been potting since 1970. Some of her favorite designs include migration, eagle wings and tail feathers, rain, feathers, butterflies, Kachina designs and hummingbirds.
